Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary’s office is actively hiring for an SAP Supply Chain & Finance Senior Analyst to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Business Applications in the Information Services team, part of Pembina’s Legal, People & Corporate Affairs division.

The Senior Analyst, SAP Supply Chain & Finance supports SAP applications across Pembina’s Supply Chain and Finance functions, providing day-to-day support, resolving complex issues, and delivering system enhancements and project initiatives. Leveraging expertise in SAP MM, supply chain processes, and FI/CO, the role translates business requirements into sustainable solutions, supports end-to-end process integration, and serves as an escalation point for cross-functional issues.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Supply Chain & Materials Management: 

  • Provide in-depth SAP SCM functional/technical knowledge to support business, operations, and IS objectives;
  • Monitor, manage and resolve tickets related to Materials Management in S/4 Hana and Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, Sourcing and Contracting, and Buying and Invoicing;
  • Configure and support SAP MM functionality across purchase requisitions, purchase orders, outline agreements, source lists, service entry sheets, inventory management and invoice receipt;
  • Support and drive projects, initiatives, and system integrations between SAP S/4HANA and related platforms, including Ariba, ensuring seamless end-to-end business processes;
  • Work closely with Pembina’s Supply Chain group to perform detailed analysis of business and technical requirements and provide appropriate system solutions. Identify, interpret, validate and document business requirements and functional specifications;
  • Design, build, and test SAP enhancements while identifying system gaps, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective workarounds and solutions as needed;
  • Manage system changes including emergencies per Pembina’s IS Change Management processes;
  • Work with a cross functional team on understanding and supporting the enterprise;
  • Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required;
  • Document functional designs, test plans, and results while providing user training and ongoing support to ensure effective adoption and system utilization; and 
    Self-directed and takes initiative to identify opportunities; act as a subject matter expert and communicate opportunities/gaps to the SAP team and business partners.

 

Finance & Controlling:

  • Support core FI functionality across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset accounting;
  • Support CO processes including cost center and internal order accounting, cost element structures, assessments and distributions, and period-end allocations; and
  • Support month-end and year-end close, resolving failed postings, reconciliation differences, and open-item clearing issues under tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Related post-secondary degree or diploma with 10+ years of relevant industry experience;
  • Strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM), Supply Chain processes, and Ariba support;
  • Experience with SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices are considered strong assets;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships, manage conflict, and effectively resolve complex issues; and
  • Results oriented individual who thrives to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
