Overview:

 

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s GBU East District, is recruiting for a Day Foreman, Field Operations to join the team. This position reports to the District Manager in the Gas Services business unit (GBU), which is part of Pembina’s Operations Division.  The Gas Services Business Unit provides gas gathering, compression, sour treatment and recovery, dehydration, fractionation for its customers.  

The Day Foreman, Operations is accountable for the development, implementation, and sustainability of operations workflow processes. They ensure that employees are adequately trained and adhere to all safety rules and regulations. The Day Foreman, Operations provides support and clear direction to their team to achieve targets and they manage the operations budget. They also maintain positive community and stakeholder relations.
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

 

  • Ensure behaviors/requirements supporting Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules” are being adhered to, and organizational standards and regulatory requirements are being met;
  • Assess annual asset regulatory & corporate compliance requirements, and ensure annual plans are developed and adjusted accordingly; 
  • Work collaboratively with peers to optimize processes;
  • Ensure Operations and Maintenance staff, and all activities adhere to the safety procedures and workflow processes, as defined within policies; 
  • Facilitate and execute well tie-ins, crossing agreements;
  • Ensure clear communication with team and customers;
  • Ensure all changes are done through an MOC as required and complete MOC initiation and action Items are being completed by your work group;
  • Accountability and management of financial spending in your area of responsibility;
  • Contribute to the budget preparation and ensure budget requirements are met;
  • Complete and maintain documentation related to operations and safety;
  • Provide direction, measurement and performance feedback to staff in your area;
  • Provide appropriate training and leadership to develop and mentor staff, and support the succession planning initiatives of the business; 
  • Provide support to the Engineering Department for new construction and site upgrades ensuring all work is completed within Pembina Maintenance Management (PMM) guidelines; 
  • Provide leadership and assistance in emergency response; 
  • Provide emergency response to equipment and pipeline failures to ensure company emergency operating procedures are followed; and
  • Participate in a team environment that values inclusion and diversity.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Related industry experience, coupled with previous experience in operations leadership;
  • Grade 12 High School Diploma; 
  • Pipeline operations experience is considered an asset;
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications; 
  • Previous CMDS experience is considered an asset; 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; and
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

 
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.  You will also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.

The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Fox Creek, AB. 

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
