Overview:

 

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Whitecourt office is recruiting a 6-month term Field Office Administrator to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Field Administration. This position provides reception, administrative & technical training support for the Northern Lights and East District field offices.  

 

Pembina's Conventional/Oilsands Business Units include a strategically positioned network of pipelines and related infrastructure, encompassing various hubs and terminals. This network facilitates the transportation of crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids across significant areas of Alberta, as well as parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota. Pembina ranks among Canada's largest operators of oil sands and heavy oil pipelines, and its Oil Sands business unit manages one of the most extensive merchant terminal operations in western Canada. These integrated assets enable us to offer long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.

 

The successful candidate must live within 50Km of Whitecourt and/or Swan Hills AB.
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

 

  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
  • Reception: answering telephone and incoming radio calls, signing in office visitors and providing excellent customer service;
  • Creation and editing of reports and documents, word processing, filing, and mail distribution;
  • Data entry into SharePoint and other databases;
  • Complete goods and service receipts in SAP;
  • Scan documents for electronic filing and file room maintenance;
  • Assist with corporate credit card reconciliation, travel planning and booking;
  • Assist with the Corporate Community Investment (i.e. Charity Campaigns, Breakfast programs, Days of Caring, etc.);
  • Provide backup administrative support for vacation/sick relief as needed;
  • Provide assistance to other business or service units as necessary; 
  • Attend mandatory safety training;
  • Continually seek out opportunities to improve efficiency & productivity of processes or systems;
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
  • Other duties as requested. 

Qualifications:

 

  • We are looking for an engaging individual with a teamwork attitude, who has strong organizational skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail. This individual must be flexible and adaptable to change, as you will be expected to cross-train on a variety of tasks to provide relief coverage;
  • Minimum of a Grade 12 Diploma; Business Administration Certificate or Diploma is an asset;
  • Experienced with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint;
  • Advanced user of Outlook and MS Teams;
  • SAP experience is an asset;
  • Ability to multitask various initiatives while maintaining attention to detail and data entry accuracy;
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Advanced time management skills to balance competing priorities;
  • Analytical thinker with ability to work under minimal supervision;
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic;
  • Tenacious and adaptable;
  • Able to influence and maintain a positive attitude and enthusiastic attitude; and 
  • Valid Driver’s License.


The successful candidate must live within 50Km of Whitecourt and/or Swan Hills AB.  
 

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
