Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Lator Station is recruiting for a Mechanical Tradesman Millwright to join the team.  The Position reports to the Valleyview west, Day Foreman, in the Conventional Pipelines Business Unit (CBU), part of Pembina’s Operations Division Business. 

 

Pembina's Conventional Pipeline assets comprise a strategically located network of pipelines and related infrastructure including various hubs and terminals. This network transports crude oil, condensate and NGL across much of Alberta and parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan and North Dakota. 

 

This position is camp position, and the work shift consists of 8 days on 6 days off, (10 hour shifts) with on call rotation.
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules.” To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
  • Complete corrective and preventative maintenance on rotating equipment in accordance with Pembina’s preventable maintenance management program;
  • Assist operations in Facility optimization and troubleshooting;
  • Provide technical support on new projects and management of change (MOC);
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, start up, and maintenance of new equipment;
  • Assist in completing rotating equipment overhauls;
  • Support Pembina’s culture of community investment;
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
  • Work shift consists of 8 days on 6 days off, with on call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Apprentice and/or Journeyman Certification Mechanic or Millwright or Interprovincial Red Seal equivalent will be considered;
  • Vibration training considered an asset;
  • Oil sampling and analysis considered an asset;
  • Experience in a pipeline transfer station, gas plant or facility operations is highly desired;
  • Ability to troubleshoot motor, compressor and pump problems effectively;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications;
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication;
  • Working knowledge and experience with SAP would be an asset; 
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, have a goal-oriented mindset, and be enthusiastic about being part of a robust maintenance and operations team; and
  • Safety Courses: TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be an asset, but if incomplete, will be provided by company to the successful candidate.

 

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.  You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract. The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Valleyview, AB.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
