Overview:

Pembina Pipeline’s Liquids, Transportation and Fractionation asset team is actively hiring a Pipeliner to join the Valleyview team.

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring pipeline systems, performing routine inspections, and responding to operational issues to maintain system integrity and reliability. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting the day-to-day operation of critical energy infrastructure. The position follows a 4/10 shift rotation, with on-call coverage shared among team members on a rotating basis

Liquids Transportation & Fractionation is a critical part of Pembina's integrated midstream value chain, connecting producers and customers through the safe, reliable transportation, storage, and processing of hydrocarbon liquids. This business area manages a network of pipelines, terminals, caverns, and fractionation facilities that move and transform natural gas liquids (NGLs) into valuable products such as propane, butane, and condensate. Working within this team means contributing to complex operations that support North American energy markets, optimize product value, and deliver reliable service to customers while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Champion Pembina’s Zero by Choice safety culture and Life Saving Rules by embedding physical, psychological, and cyber safety into all work practices while taking personal accountability to maintain compliance, support audit readiness, proactively identify risks, and protect our people, assets, and data;
• Support pipeline operations through the installation, inspection, documentation, and monitoring of pipeline crossings to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of work;
• Assist with integrity management activities, including inspection tool runs, integrity digs, line purges, and related maintenance programs;
• Monitor pipeline cathodic protection, geotechnical concerns, and right-of-way conditions to support the safe and reliable operation of company assets;
• Review and coordinate pipeline crossing requests and One-Call notifications in accordance with regulatory and company requirements;
• Witness and oversee third-party crossing activities to ensure compliance with company standards, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements;
• Coordinate and supervise contractors performing right-of-way maintenance activities, including vegetation control and brushing operations;
• Build and maintain positive relationships with landowners and stakeholders by addressing concerns related to company facilities in a professional and timely manner;
• Effectively manage multiple priorities and field activities while maintaining a high level of organization, accuracy, and responsiveness;
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by proactively identifying hazards, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements;
• Support health, safety, environmental, and emergency response activities as required;
• Travel and work away from home for short periods as operational requirements dictate; and
• Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in pipeline, oilfield, construction, or related field operations;
• Pipeline construction experience or a trade background (Millwright, Pipefitter, Welder, etc.) is considered an asset;
• Knowledge of pipeline operations, integrity management, right-of-way activities, and applicable regulations is considered an asset;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SAP would be considered an asset;
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities;
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and a strong safety culture;
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, learn new processes and technologies, and apply feedback to improve performance;
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record;
• TDG, H2S Alive, and First Aid certifications are considered assets; training will be provided if required;
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying conditions;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and travel as operational requirements dictate; and
• Rotational shift 4/10, with on-call coverage shared among team members on a rotating basis.

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.
