Overview:
Pembina’s Conventional/ Oilsands Pipelines Business Unit (COBU) is currently seeking a Field Operator/Prover Truck Operator to join their team. This position is in Swan Hills Alberta, and will report to the Day Foreman, Whitecourt North.
Pembina's Conventional/Oilsands Business Units include a strategically positioned network of pipelines and related infrastructure, encompassing various hubs and terminals. This network facilitates the transportation of crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids across significant areas of Alberta, as well as parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota. Pembina ranks among Canada's largest operators of oil sands and heavy oil pipelines, and its Oil Sands business unit manages one of the most extensive merchant terminal operations in western Canada. These integrated assets enable us to offer long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
- Complete assignments safely, efficiently and in an environmentally conscious manner by adhering to generally accepted company and industry safety practices;
- Collaborate with Northern Lights Team members to prove meters in the Whitecourt, Swan Hills and Slave Lake areas using mobile a ball prover, mobile small volume prover as well as stationary provers;
- Operate portable prover truck to maintain accurate metering integrity on both custody transfer and integrity LVP and HVP meters as required to meet company and industry standards;
- Support planning and scheduling for proving and operations tasks;
- Support team members with operations and maintenance activities;
- Perform sampling of all products, test density, temperature, BS&W and RVP as required;
- Ownership of applicable equipment maintenance and certifications;
- Perform operational duties as required on both LVP and HVP products/systems;
- Regularly verify accuracy of metering related instruments including density analyzers, temperature transmitters and pressure transmitters;
- Work with Measurement tech to ensure area measurement meets regulatory and contractual obligations;
- Support volume imbalance or metering issue resolution;
- Travel and after hours support as required and participation of On-Call rotation;
- Ability to support and contribute to a positive team environment; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:

- Possess a valid Class 3 license with air endorsement (will consider sponsoring an individual to obtain this license);
- A High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Two plus years related experience (pipeline, gas plant, refinery, production, oilfield truck driver or drilling);
- Working knowledge of MS Office and other business-related computer programs and applications;
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; and
- Safety Courses: TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be an asset.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Swan Hills, AB.
