Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Operations is currently seeking a Terminal Operator. Reporting to the Day Foreman and located in the Sherwood Park Terminal District. As a Terminal Operator you will perform a variety of operational and maintenance duties.
Pembina's Operations include a strategically positioned network of pipelines and related infrastructure, encompassing various hubs and terminals. This network facilitates the transportation of crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids across significant areas of Alberta, as well as parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota. Pembina ranks among Canada's largest operators of oil sands and heavy oil pipelines and manages one of the most extensive merchant terminal operations in western Canada. These integrated assets enable us to offer long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Complete assignments safely, efficiently and in an environmentally conscious manner by observing company and industry safety practices;
- Be responsible for maintaining daily terminal operations including measurement concepts, product quality, and facility inspections;
- Perform and assist with facility maintenance activities;
- Product sampling and lab analysis;
- Respond to facility system upsets, determine cause and resolve;
- Organize, permit and manage contractors as required, oversee routine and non-routine maintenance activities;
- Complete Energy Isolations as required;
- Liaise with public and other related industry companies;
- Maintain facility assets, and company vehicle in clean orderly condition;
- Occasionally expected project work and adapt to schedule changes easily;
- Comfortable with an on-call rotation associated with the responsibilities;
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
- Work 12 hour shifts of rotating day and nights.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience;
- Experience in ground disturbance and underground facility locating would be considered an asset;
- Able to read and interpret facility related construction drawings, schematics and alignment drawings;
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite;
- Ability to operate and maintain newly introduced field instrumentation and control systems with minimal supervision, ensuring continued operational efficiency during technology upgrades;
- Ability to quickly assess and respond to unexpected process changes or equipment failures by applying knowledge from previous experiences and rapidly acquiring new information when needed;
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License; and
- Knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Sherwood Park, AB.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
