Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Sherwood Park office is actively hiring a Senior Analyst to join the SCADA Field Projects team.  This position reports to the Supervisor, SCADA Field Projects in the Information Services Unit (ISU), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division.

This position will be accountable for the development and commissioning of new pipeline projects on the SCADA platform as well as providing frontline support to the Control Center and operations groups.
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support the development and commissioning of new pipeline assets;
  • Provide frontline support to the Control Center and operations teams;
  • Provide support for the maintenance and enhancement of the SCADA system platform;
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and document problems encountered with the SCADA system platform;
  • Work closely with the SCADA system vendor as required;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by adhering to processes and completing necessary documentation;
  • Contribute to the development of SCADA process and procedure documentation;
  • Collaborate and coordinate efforts within multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Offer flexibility for after-hours support and occasional off-site work, given that our pipelines are operated and monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;

Qualifications:

  • 5 – 10 years of relevant SCADA Experience;
  • Experience with progressively more challenging responsibilities involving the AVEVA Enterprise SCADA Application;
  • Proven experience with HMI design and display building using industry best practices and API 1165;
  • Experience configuring SCADA tags and supporting SCADA and SQL databases;
  • Experience in point-to-point verification and commissioning of field assets;
  • Experience supporting control room management and alarm management programs;
  • Pipeline operation, automation, or control room experience is an asset;
  • Programming knowledge in VB and C# is an asset;
  • Experience working with SCADA adjacent systems, such as SQL Server Manager, PI and measurement systems would be an asset;
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
