Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Damage Prevention & Public Awareness (DPPA) team is recruiting for an Analyst, Damage Prevention (One Call) to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Crossings & One Call in the External Services Unit (ESU).
The Analyst is a key member of the team responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of underground infrastructure by managing and supporting damage prevention activities. This role primarily focuses on One Call ticket triage, ensuring timely and accurate processing of locate requests, while also providing support for other damage prevention initiatives.
This role is critical to ensuring the safety of underground infrastructure and fostering a culture of damage prevention. The Analyst will play a vital role in protecting assets, minimizing risks, and promoting safe excavation practices.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Review and assess incoming One Call tickets to determine the scope, accuracy, and priority of locate requests and identify potential conflicts or risks to buried infrastructure.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and third-party locators to ensure timely and accurate responses to locate requests.
- Maintain accurate records of ticket processing and assist in addressing any incident, non-compliance, non-conformance items related to damage prevention, as required.
- Assist with reviewing right-of-way patrol reports and ensure they are documented within the required software tool.
- Analyze ticket trends and excavation activity to identify areas of risk or improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with others to prepare and present damage prevention performance and compliance/conformance metrics, along with general DPPA messaging.
- Support investigations related to underground infrastructure damage, including gathering data and preparing reports.
- Assist in the execution, development and continuous improvement of damage prevention programs, policies, and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between the company, One Call centers, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide guidance and education to contractors, stakeholders, and the public on safe excavation practices and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in industry forums, training sessions, and outreach events (as applicable) to stay informed of best practices and regulatory changes in damage prevention.

Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary degree/certificate and/or minimum of five years relevant experience in the field of damage prevention, crossings review, utility locating, or ticket management.
- Strong understanding of Canadian and US Damage Prevention Regulations, Industry Codes, and best practices, along with working knowledge of field construction practices.
- Proficient in using ticket management software (Irth Utilisphere), GIS systems, PowerBI and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and processing One Call tickets.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage change, be innovative, problem solve, think
- strategically, and prioritize key tasks.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Superior communication skills with proven abilities engaging stakeholders to achieve results.
