Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s processing facility in Redwater, Alberta is recruiting for a Warehouse Technician to join the team. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Supervisor this role is part of the Supply Chain function within Operations, which plays a key role in ensuring the efficient flow, availability and control of materials required to support safe and reliable facility operations.

 

You will be responsible for liaising between Maintenance, Engineering and Operations, ensuring facility maintenance and operational issues are discussed, prioritized, addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

 

As a Warehouse Technician, you will coordinate the shipping and receiving of the location’s warehouse supplies and materials, report on inventory and cost controls, and perform all duties in compliance with corporate safety standards, regulatory requirements and industry accepted best practices. This position also supports the needs of maintenance and operations performed out of the facilities.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Manage inventory and material requirements in SAP, including MRP review, replenishment, material master maintenance and inventory optimization;  
  • Coordinate receiving, storage, issuing and movement of materials, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation and warehouse organization;
  • Support Operations, Maintenance and facility Projects by staging materials, communicating availability and aligning to work order and project requirements;
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reviews and identification of excess or obsolete materials;
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, supplier returns and repair processes with internal stakeholders and vendors;  
  • Participate in maintenance planning activities and support broader warehouse and regional operational needs as required;
  • Ensure all activities are completed in compliance with Pembina safety, quality and regulatory requirements, including emergency response support as needed;
  • Demonstrate learning agility by seeking feedback, adapting quickly to new information and applying learnings to improve performance in a dynamic environment; and
  • Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion and diversity.

Qualifications:

  • Parts Person certification (or working toward Journeyman certification) is considered an asset;
  • Progressive experience in supply chain, materials management or warehouse operations, preferably within oil and gas or other asset-based industries;
  • Experience working with SAP (MM Module) is considered an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with document control processes;
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling equipment;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;
  • Effective communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate accountability and take initiative;
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Safety certifications such as TDG, H2S Alive and First Aid are considered assets (training will be provided if required); and
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.

 

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.

You will also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
