Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation's Redwater Complex is seeking a safety-focused, motivated, and reliable Rail Loader to join our Rail Logistics team. Reporting to the Shift Lead within Liquids Transportation & Fractionation Operations, this role is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, inspection, and handling of railcars while supporting terminal operations. The successful candidate will contribute to safe product movement, inventory management, equipment monitoring, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while demonstrating a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and accountability.

 

Liquids Transportation & Fractionation Operations are involved in the fractionation, terminals & storage, logistics, and distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout North America.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support Pembina's safety culture of "Zero by Choice," adhere to Life Saving Rules, and demonstrate Pembina's values in all work performed;
  • Safely load and unload railcars while monitoring loading systems and responding to alarms, equipment issues, and abnormal operating conditions;
  • Conduct railcar inspections, product sampling, and quality verification activities in accordance with operating procedures;
  • Complete operating logs, inventory records, inspections, permits, FLHAs, and other operational documentation accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Monitor facility and loading equipment, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions with Operations and Maintenance personnel;
  • Support effective shift handovers through clear communication of operational status, priorities, and ongoing activities;
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to support safe and efficient facility operations;
  • Participate in emergency response activities and maintain housekeeping standards throughout the facility;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency; and
  • Demonstrate learning agility by adapting to evolving technologies, systems, and operational requirements in a dynamic operating environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in rail, terminal, petrochemical, logistics, industrial, or bulk product handling operations would be considered an asset. Knowledge of rail safety requirements and CROR regulations, experience operating mobile equipment, and familiarity with permit-to-work systems would also be considered assets;
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with Pembina's values;
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot operational equipment and systems;
  • Ability to safely perform physical work in an industrial operating environment and work independently with minimal supervision;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications;
  • Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability in a dynamic operating environment; and
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a satisfactory driver's abstract.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
