Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Redwater office is recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Field Projects in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit, part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.
NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. And the Redwater complex has several fractionators for processing paraffinic and olefinic natural gas liquids. This growing site also includes significant cavern storage assets and cogeneration gas turbines.
The Project Coordinator role is critical to supporting the sustaining capital projects, Operations support, process engineering, and our maintenance teams, ensuring the site operates safely and reliably.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km from Redwater, AB.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Coordinating engineering, design, and procurement activities for multiple projects within the Redwater site;
- Ensuring the project satisfies all safety, technical, operational, commercial, maintenance and quality requirements defined in Pembina’s specifications, standards and regulatory codes;
- Executing within the approved project scope, budget and schedule;
- Defining project requirements in collaboration with the operations, commercial, HSE, land, regulatory and procurement teams;
- Securing project funds following Pembina’s project management processes and phases;
- Preparing capital budgets for upcoming years including a two year look ahead;
- Providing high level evaluations and prioritization of new project ideas;
- Forecasting on project costs and schedules;
- Defining resources to support the projects including representatives from Operations, Technical Services and Maintenance;
- Coordinating and participating in design reviews, HAZOPs, model reviews, and ensuring proper stakeholder participation for these activities as well as the Management of Change process;
- Acting as a technical liaison between the contractors associated with the project and Pembina project representatives;
- Providing timely and effective communication with all stakeholders;
- Ensuring project HSE goals are met or exceeded; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering or, a PMP Certification, or combination of both;
- Previous related, relevant experience in project management, and/or project related roles is an asset;
- A proven track record of success in defining, implementing, and executing projects in the energy industry, or other transferable industries;
- Must be highly analytical, have excellent communication skills, capable of identifying issues and opportunities and developing cost effective solutions;
- Possess working knowledge of current industry standards and regulations; and
- Previous experience working with and directing Engineering firms and Contractors.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
