Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Redwater office is recruiting for an Operations Maintenance Coordinator to join the team. This position reports to the Operations Planning Supervisor in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit, part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.
The Redwater facility has several fractionators for processing paraffinic and olefinic natural gas liquids. In addition to this, the site includes significant cavern storage assets and cogeneration gas turbines.
The Operations Maintenance Coordinator plays a key part in ensuring the seamless operation of Pembina’s Redwater facility by acting as the critical interface between Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations. By prioritizing and coordinating maintenance activities, addressing production issues, and supporting planned outages, this role helps optimize the facility’s fractionation, storage, and cogeneration processes. This position directly contributes to the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Pembina’s Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Participate in Notification approval to ensure the work requests are value-added, the scope/data is accurate, and the priority is correct;
- Communicate daily operations priorities/instructions/directives to the operations unit;
- Prioritize all unit maintenance activities and liaise with the maintenance department and operating teams; leading daily unit work prioritization meetings;
- Coordinate the execution of unplanned emergency / urgent maintenance activities and planned outages;
- Interface between operations, maintenance and outage scheduling/commercial team to ensure planned outages managed appropriately;
- Provide operations perspective input for detailed work plans, scope resource and material requirements, work order follow-up and backlog management;
- Support the development of daily, weekly and monthly schedules for planned work and ensure distribution to the appropriate disciplines and balancing of unit operations workload;
- Work with the Maintenance Planners to ensure operations needs are identified and understood, and that plans are integrated;
- Ensure operational and maintenance activities are executed per Pembina’s policies and procedures and supports implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure equipment availability;
- Interface with Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Integrity, Contractors, and Engineering to develop accurate and executable work scopes;
- Working with the Maintenance Planners and other supporting functions to create detailed work packages that include all the required documentation related to the execution of the work scope which could include; P&ID’s, LOTO’s, blind lists, Safety Device Bypass Forms, External Energy Forms, Risk Assessments, Alternative Safe Isolations, procedures for operations preparation of equipment, in addition to the development of commissioning and operating procedures for new or altered equipment;
- Acting as Operations SME in the MOC Process, Risk Assessments, PHA’s;
- Maintains a visible commitment to process and personal safety, as well as the safety of others; adheres to Pembina’s Values to drive results and culture; and
- Lead and foster the development of an inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Progressive, related experience in large processing plant operations;
- Flexible to accommodate changing priorities in a plant environment, with the ability to manage multiple task assignments;
- Ability to collaborate with different teams through continuous change and improvement in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment;
- Effective communicator both verbal and written;
- Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling, as well as a basic understanding of economics and budgeting;
- SAP experience is considered an asset;
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); and
- Strong organizational skills.
Candidate must live within 100KM of the Redwater Facility.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
