Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Redwater office is recruiting for Supervisor, Maintenance to join the team.  This position reports to the Maintenance Manager in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit, part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.   


NBU is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.


The Supervisor, Maintenance will lead a dynamic team responsible for overseeing maintenance work execution across the facility including Rotating Equipment, Static Equipment, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls, and Analyzers.

    • Empower and Develop People - Mentor and support Maintenance Foremen and their teams across all disciplines. Conduct performance reviews, ensure training compliance, and foster a respectful, inclusive environment where individuals can grow and thrive;
    • Embrace Learning Agility and Innovation - Champion a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging adaptability to new technologies, processes, and standards. Implement right-sized changes that enhance operational excellence and support the evolution of Pembina’s Maintenance Management System;
    • Collaborate for Strategic Impact - Work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Business Units to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities. Support MOC project design and implementation using effective work management tools;
    • Ensure Compliance and Stewardship - Maintain regulatory compliance and steward the development and consistent application of maintenance procedures. Use Pembina’s business systems and KPIs to ensure cost-effective, reliable operations;
    • Support ESG and Inclusive Culture - Promote a diverse and inclusive team environment and actively contribute to Pembina’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) objectives;
    • Contribute to Strategic Leadership - Be an engaged member of the Maintenance Leadership Team, supporting strategic planning, budget development, and decision-making in alignment with Pembina’s long-term goals and values. 

Qualifications:

    • Journeyman trade or technologist certification, with relevant industrial plant experience;
    • Related leadership or management experience in maintenance leadership within a heavy industrial operations environment;
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including an ability to interface positively with management, field, engineering and technical support personnel;
    • Strong working knowledge of Maintenance Management Processes (e.g. IPSECA) and Systems (SAP preferred);
    • Ability to apply critical thinking skills in addressing a variety of customer opportunities, requests, and concerns in a mutually beneficial manner;
    • A commitment to continuous leadership development, results oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and leads change with an open mind and in a positive manner;
    • Good understanding of jurisdictional regulatory frameworks as they apply to maintaining industrial assets;
    • Fostering an environment of inclusion and diversity that continues to contribute towards values of team and collaboration;
    • Working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications; and;
    • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record.


The successful candidate must live within 100 km of the Redwater Facility and will be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract. 

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
