Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Corporate Redwater location is recruiting for an Analyst, Logistics to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Logistics in the Redwater Fractionation and Storage Facility, which is part of the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit.
Pembina’s Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU) is involved in the Fractionation, Terminaling & Storage, and Logistics and Distribution of specification natural gas liquids throughout north America. Natural Gas Liquids are components of natural gas classified by weight and number of carbon atoms – Methane (C1), Ethane (C2), Propane (C3) Butane (C4) and Condensate (mixture of C5+). Fractionation involves separating the different products in an NGL mix out into Ethane, Propane and Butane.
Working with the logistics team, the successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently managing the logistics of rail product movements for the Redwater Fractionation and Storage Facility. Responsibilities also include logistics operations, shipping and evaluations of rail car traffic information, and preparation of appropriate Bill of Ladings (BOL) while ensuring appropriate product and description is released according to customer specification.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Understand and adhere to Pembina Corporate & Safety Management Systems Policies;
- Actively support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”;
- Identify rail car scheduling efficiencies and ability to explain and justify results to assist with maximizing the efficiency of the railyard;
- Maintaining, tracking and analyzing all inbound/outbound rail car traffic, including working closely with customers, contractors and service providers;
- Report maintenance issues with Truck and Rail System (TARS & Bourque);
- Support project initiatives as assigned;
- Monitor CN Pipeline report;
- Complete assigning tasks as required, assigning cars to appropriate orders as per the customer’s request;
- Complete reports for management, customers and service providers to streamline effective communication;
- Update and maintain yard lists;
- Ability to work a rotational shift schedule that includes weekends and evenings;
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize in a fast pace dynamic environment;
- Complete required Safety and Emergency Response training programs including ICS and other Core Training;
- Participate as required within a Facility or Pipeline system emergency;
- Comply with all applicable Safety Management Systems (SMS) Policies and Standards;
- Comply with all applicable Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Policies and Standards;
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) knowledge, and valid certification;
- Support the updating and maintaining of customer’s fleets;
- Daily interaction and problem solving with customers in a courteous manner
- Complete all billing tasks as required;
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
- A proven track record of working well within a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 high school diploma;
- Relevant experience in a customer service position;
- Effective written and verbal communication. including a proven ability to interface positively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, and demonstrated aptitude working with other business-related computer programs and applications;
- Experience working in a logistics position would be considered an asset;
- Knowledge and understanding of the rail infrastructure and railway systems in North America would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Redwater, AB.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
