Overview:

PKM Canada Marine Terminal LP (Vancouver Wharves Terminal) is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join the team. This position reports to the Superintendent, Maintenance Planning in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division. 

 

Located in one of the busiest port cities in North America, our Vancouver Wharves’ location is one of the largest terminals on the West Coast and handles both liquids and bulk products including mineral concentrates, diesel, Sulphur, and grain products on behalf of customers. 

 

The Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient planning of maintenance, reliability, and regulatory job completion to meet Pembina’s Facility Integrity, Maintenance Management (PMM) and Regulatory Compliance processes and certifications.
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support of Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules” are being adhered to. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, pembina.com/safety; 
  • Develop and manage routine Preventative Maintenance (PM) packages to support reliability strategies for Asset Integrity for short and long term maintenance;
  • Lead and collaborate with Stakeholder personnel in assigned areas to develop work schedules for operational staff and internal stakeholders;
  • Manage and review work order backlogs to identify opportunities to integrate into the scheduling process;
  • Review approved SAP notifications for safety, production, and other operational requirements and considerations prior to the planning and scheduling of work;
  • Provide work order plans for Contracted Services, ensuring timely identification of required Job Hazard Analyses/Field Level Assessments (JHAs/FLHAs) to reduce risk, consideration of potential introduction of defects during work execution, and identification of critical skill set and resources required;
  • Use the Identify/Plan/Schedule/Execute/Close/Analyze (IPSECA) model to develop and maintain procedures and job plans that adhere to the Pembina’s Facility Integrity and Preventative Maintenance Management (PMM) processes and certifications;
  • Conduct weekly postmortem review to ensure completion or rescheduling of work as well to capture lessons learned;
  • Compile monthly and quarterly maintenance and reliability backlog reports and distribute to the required stakeholders;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize equipment reliability and reduce downtime to ensure alignment with maintenance strategies;
  • Ensure maintenance, inspection, and repair activities are planned in accordance with regulatory requirements; 
  • Monitor corporate Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, highlighting areas for improvements;
  • Understand Spares & Inventory systems and process to support the maintenance plan; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years progressive experience in mobile and or fixed plant operations/maintenance environment;
  • Journeyman trades ticket (Instrumentation, Electrical or Millwright) and/or Steam Ticket preferred; 
  • Maintenance Planning Certification is considered an asset;
  • Experience with MS Office and SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PMM) is required, although experience with other maintenance management systems, such as Maximo, will be considered; 
  • Experience with Scheduling tools such as Primavera or Prometheus is considered an asset;
  • Previous SAP PM Master Data experience is considered an asset;
  • Previous experience in mobile maintenance scheduling is considered an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required; and
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.


This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.  You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.

 

The successful candidate must live within 100 km of North Vancouver, British Columbia.
 

 

BC Pay Transparency Requirement: The base salary range for this position is $112,500.00  CAD to $125,000.00  CAD.  Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate's qualifications and location.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
