Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Vancouver Wharves terminal is a dynamic hub that handles essential bulk commodities like mineral concentrates, diesel, sulphur, and grain products. We’re looking for a motivated Operations Engineering Administrator/Analyst to join our Operations Engineering team and help drive our culture of safety, trust, respect, and innovation.
This position plays a key role in enhancing Pembina’s process safety culture and supporting the Management of Change (MOC) process at our Vancouver Wharves terminal. This role provides critical support to engineers and project managers on sustaining capital projects, while also managing project controls and administrative tasks. It’s an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, collaborative individual eager to grow and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Champion Safety & Process Excellence

- Foster Pembina’s "Zero by Choice" safety culture and champion the Management of Change (MOC) process;
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth MOC progression, provide training, and track compliance; and
- Support audits and help implement improvements to enhance our process safety culture.
Support Projects & Drive Results

- Assist engineers and project managers with project governance documentation and lifecycle management;
- Help with procurement, budgeting, and cost control by creating purchase requisitions, tracking expenses, and preparing financial reports; and
- Provide general administrative support to engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
Streamline Standards & Documentation

- Manage and update engineering standards, operating procedures, and site-wide documentation; and
- Ensure compliance with Pembina’s document control standards and train others to follow best practices.
Collaborate & Grow

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and achieve shared goals;
- Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
- Additional responsibilities as you grow in the role.
Qualifications:
-
- Related, relevant experience supporting engineers, and/or projects in a heavy industrial environment such as oil & gas, ports, mining, energy, or manufacturing;
- Familiarity with the Management of Change (MOC) process or other structured process safety management systems is an asset;
- Understanding of engineering principles, processes, standards, and the project lifecycle (initiation → execution → close-out) is an asset;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and project administration is a plus;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables, using strong communication and organizational skills to respectfully follow up and drive progress on critical items;
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, seeking opportunities to innovate and drive continuous improvement; and
- A demonstrated commitment to safety in every decision and action, while fostering trust through reliability and accountability. And treating others with kindness, professionalism, and empathy.
Pay Transparency Requirement: The base salary range for this position is $83,700.00 CAD to $93,000.00 CAD. Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate's qualifications and location.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
