Overview:
PKM Canada Marine Terminal LP is currently recruiting for a Sr Advisor, Maintenance Coordination in North Vancouver. The Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Manager, Maintenance and Engineering and supports operations at Vancouver Wharves, which is part of Pembina’s Transmission & Extraction Asset Team.
Located in one of North America’s busiest port cities, Vancouver Wharves is one of the largest terminals on the West Coast, handling both liquid and bulk products, including mineral concentrates, diesel, sulphur, and grain on behalf of our customers.
The Sr Advisor, Maintenance Coordination provides contractor project planning, scheduling, execution oversight, and administrative support to ensure the terminal meets its safety, quality, environmental, and production objectives. Key responsibilities include managing both project and maintenance scopes for civil, rail, mechanical, and marine contractor work.
This role is primarily a Monday to Friday position; however, flexibility is required to align work schedules with contractor activities and critical project execution requirements.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Interface and communicate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to coordinate project, maintenance, and emergency repair scopes;
- Coordinate inspections and administer contractor planned maintenance programs for rail infrastructure, HVAC, and fire alarm systems;
- Manage projects from scope development and conceptual design through construction, commissioning, and post-project support;
- Analyze costs, track expenditures, verify invoices, and oversee third-party work;
- Collaborate with stakeholders and a unionized labour force to execute projects and perform recommended upgrades and repairs;
- Work with the manager to develop sustaining capital plans and budgets;
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies at the site, as appropriate;
- Manage multiple projects while supporting the operations team as required;
- Support other members of the operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on multidisciplinary projects, as needed;
- Supervise contractor work and conduct field reviews;
- Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment;
- Perform other duties as required; and
- Participate in and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- Progressive experience executing projects in a heavy industrial environment (e.g., ports, mining, energy, or manufacturing);
- A degree, technologist diploma, or Red Seal trade certification in a related field;
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and direction;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to establish priorities and track projects against milestones to ensure timely completion;
- Familiarity with SAP project management systems is considered an asset;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Demonstrated alignment with and commitment to Pembina’s values;
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment;
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Broad knowledge of industrial equipment and facilities is an asset; and
- Willingness to work evenings or weekends, as required, to minimize disruption to operations or maintenance schedules.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
