Overview:
Pembina U.S. Corporation is recruiting for an Operations Technician to join the team. This position is an Operation and Maintenance Technician for the Cochin Pipeline Jamestown South operational area.
The position’s base area will Hector, Minnesota and reporting into the Day Foreman, Operations in the Transmission Pipelines Business Unit (TBU), part of Pembina’s Pipeline Division.
Pembina's Transmission Pipeline assets have developed through the strategic acquisition of key natural gas and specification ethane transportation infrastructure assets, positioned in some of the most prolific gas producing regions in western Canada and the United States.
Location Options: Wilmar, New Ulm, Benson.
Relocation support could be available.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Ensure all maintenance and operations duties are completed safely, in compliance with Pembina’s procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices;
- Routine pipeline operations and maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repair of pump station electronics, electrical, and mechanical equipment;
- Locating and marking Cochin facilities per Pembina’s Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during excavation;
- Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities;
- Provide appropriate training and leadership to develop and mentor staff, and support the succession planning initiatives of the business;
- Participate in a bi-weekly call out rotation responding to after hour call outs due to equipment and/or operational problems;
- A willingness to work overtime on an as needed basis; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years related work experience;
- Journeyman Electrician or Electrical / Instrumentation or certification equivalent preferred;
- PLC programming experience, together with a familiarity of a variety of instrumentation equipment preferred;
- Hands-on experience with various computer applications;
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work well in a team coupled with a proven track record of success of positively interfacing with Field, Engineering, and Technical Support personnel;
- Ability to perform and direct safe and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment;
- Results oriented with a flexible & adaptable approach to change;
- Possess a valid driver’s license; and
- Reside within 60 miles of reporting location or willingness to relocate.

The successful candidate must live 60 miles of reporting location or willingness to relocate.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate may be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check, Drug Screen (which includes testing for marijuana metabolites), and Fit for Duty Exam.
