Pembina U.S. Corporation is recruiting for a Measurement Technician to be based at the Aux Sable NGL Extraction and Fractionation Facility located in Morris (Channahon), Illinois. In the U.S., Aux Sable is jointly owned by Enbridge, Pembina, and Williams Partners. Aux Sable facilities are operated by Pembina.  This position is part of the Maintenance Department and reports to the Day Foreman, I/E in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Business Division.  


As a Measurement Technician, your measurement skills will play an important role and directly impact the safety, function, and reliability of our plant systems, as well as overall operations of our facility.  You will be part of a diverse team working with plant operations, maintenance technicians, safety coordinators, engineers, and contractors to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.  Our Measurement Technicians are directly responsible to ensure that the plant measurement systems are operating efficiently and effectively. They are required to have a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our measurement systems.


Summary of Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ability to troubleshoot, repair, or calibrate equipment to maintain a reliable plant balance;

Perform routine PM calibrations and repairs as required;

Maintain all Custody Transfer Measurement Equipment recertifications pertaining to Aux Sable standards and API measurement standards;

Provide electrical, electronic, and instrumentation technical assistance when necessary;

Maintain communications interfaces between Omni Flow Computers with the DCS and external customers;

Document all proving reports and equipment recertification concerning custody transfer measurement equipment and calibrations;

Able to work in teams effectively and encourage a positive work environment;

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots and hearing protection);

Communicates safety issues to mangers and Safety Department;

Effective decision-making skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills; and

Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion & diversity. 



High School diploma and Valid driver’s license required; 

5+ years training and experience in a continuous process facility as an Measurement Tech. or an associate degree in the Measurement field;

Working knowledge with measuring process levels, pressures, flows and temperatures;

Familiarization of PLC and Distributed Controls Systems (DCS);

Proven track record of ability to repair, test, adjust and install measurement systems;

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance inspections using diagnostic tools and test equipment and make necessary corrections to maintain a safe and reliable measurement system;

Understand and follows Company Safety policies; and

Creating work orders, recording maintenance results, and reading and updating drawings and other documentation;
