Pembina U.S. Corporation is recruiting for a Rail Loader to be based at the Aux Sable NGL Extraction and Fractionation Facility located in Morris (Channahon), Illinois. In the U.S., Aux Sable is jointly owned by Enbridge, Pembina, and Williams Partners. Aux Sable facilities are operated by Pembina.  This position reports to the Supervisor, Terminal Operations in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Business Division.


As a Rail Loader you would have direct responsibility for the loading/offloading of railcars, offloading of trucks, and for preparing railcars for shipment per DOT and FRA Regulations.   This position is also responsible for preparing all equipment associated with rail and truck loading/offloading for maintenance and for performing some light maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained in a safe operating condition. Rail Loaders are required to have a thorough understanding of safe work practices.


Rail Car Loaders spend most of their time walking, standing, bending, and climbing; the work is outdoors regardless of weather conditions.  Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Daily loading/offloading of railcars and offloading of trucks;
  • Quality Control of product shipped and/or offloaded;
  • Proper documentation for each car loaded and shipped;
  • Maintain reliability of equipment at the rail rack;
  • Support EH&S, BBS and PSM; 
  • Able to work in teams effectively and encourage a positive work environment;
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots and hearing protection);
  • Communicates safety issues to mangers and Safety Department;
  • Effective decision-making skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills; and
  • Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion & diversity. 

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma and Valid driver’s license required; 
  • Prior rail car loading or offloading experience a plus;
  • The ability to develop and understand operating procedures;
  • Familiar with Process Safety Management or a willingness to learn; 
  • Possess good housekeeping skills;
  • Must be a team player; and
  • Understand and follows Company Safety policies.
