Overview:

 

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is hiring a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Contractor to join the Resthaven facility in Grande Cache, AB. This position reports to the Supervisor, Planning/Scheduling in the Gas Business Unit, (GBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Division.  Pembina's Gas Processing assets comprise a strategically located network of facilities and related infrastructure. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible to complete planning and scheduling of operations and maintenance work tasks for the GP Central District. This includes preventive, corrective work planning, SAP maintenance plan configuration, and vendor and materials coordination.

Planner/Scheduler Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop detailed work packages for both regulated and critical equipment primarily within SAP Plant Maintenance, to support the Asset Management systems and the long-term maintenance and reliability strategy; maintain planned maintenance and reliability jobs available to the Scheduler to provide 7-day frozen and 14-day execution schedules to Maintenance and Operations and participates in the 45-day outlook sessions;
  • Provide work order plans for Contracted Services, that ensure timely identification of required JHAs/FLHA’s to reduce risk, consideration of potential introduction of defects during work execution, and critical skill set and resources required;
  • Using the Identify/Plan/Schedule/Execute/Close/Analyze (IPSECA) model to develop and maintain procedures and job plans that adhere to the Pembina’s Facility Integrity and PMM processes and certifications;
  • Provide technical input and support relating to maintenance procedures and job plans that adhere to Pembina Maintenance Management (PMM) processes, practices and systems;
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) on all Safety Critical equipment failures and any other equipment failures classified as medium to high risk, while ensuring corrective and preventative actions are taken to prevent a recurrence;
  • Compile monthly and quarterly maintenance and reliability backlog reports and distribute to the required stakeholders;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize equipment reliability and reduce downtime to ensure an alignment with maintenance strategies;
  • Participate in periodic internal compliance reviews and/or audit activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented, primarily within SAP Plant Maintenance;
  • Complete vendor prequalification, verification of approved status and assessment of qualifications and participate in the on-going vendor assessments and evaluations;
  • Participate in site spare parts identification to support the maintenance plan;
  • Ensure maintenance, inspection and repair activities are planned in accordance to the regulatory requirement;
  • Review of Facility Integrity and PMM documentation and records to ensure conformance with the requirements, business processes, certifications and KPIs;
  • Develop, optimize, maintain, and distribute planned maintenance and reliability jobs including 7-day frozen and 14-day execution schedules to Maintenance and Operations, and participates in the 45-day outlook sessions;
  • Distribute execution schedules and pertinent work orders to Contracted Services, that ensure timely identification of required JHAs/FLHA’s to reduce risk, consideration of potential introduction of defects during work execution, and critical skill set and resources required;
  • Utilize effective communication skills as well work collaboratively with all stakeholders; and
  • Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion & diversity.

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a plant operations/maintenance environment;
  • Journeyman trades ticket (Electrical, Instrumentation or Millwright) and/or Steam Ticket preferred; Maintenance Planning Certification is an asset;
  • Experience with MS Office & SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PMM) is required; other maintenance management systems (i.e.: Maximo) may be considered; 
  • Prometheus Scheduling software experience is an asset;
  • Project/maintenance planning experience is an asset;
  • Technical procedure writing experience is an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are required; and
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

 

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.  You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.

The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Grande Cache, AB.
