Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Grande Prairie office is actively hiring for General Labourer Summer Student to join the team.  This position reports to the Pipeline Foreman in the Conventional Pipelines Division.

 

The General Labour role will support maintenance activities at field site locations, and the GP office-warehouse-shop. It will also support operations, field tradesmen – maintenance staff as required at field site locations. Regular schedule is Monday to Thursday 7 AM - 5 PM.

 

Note: this is a 4-month term, and the successful candidate must live within 100 km of
Grande Prairie AB.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Assisting with operations activities and projects as required, general maintenance and painting, housekeeping at Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) sites, cutting grass and weed removal;
  • Support day‑to‑day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems);
  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
  • Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and
  • Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace by being gracious, kind, respectful, and working effectively with others.

Qualifications:

  • Capability for moderate physical work;
  • Experience or interest in the oil and gas sector, along with proficiency in operating equipment like forklifts, bobcats, or small manual tools such as weed trimmers, is regarded as beneficial;
  • Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems;
  • Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary / Trades program;
  • Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for;
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule Must be available to work the entire term (May to August 2026);
  • Self-Motivated, reliable, and friendly style with strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety and Pembina’s values; and
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driver abstract.  

 

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and requires Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.
