Overview:

Pembina is actively hiring an Electrician Tradesperson to join their team. This position is located in Fort St. John, British Columbia and reporting to the Fort St. John Central Area Foreman.

Liquids Transportation & Fractionation Operations include a strategically positioned network of pipelines and related infrastructure, encompassing various hubs and terminals. This network facilitates the transportation of crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids across significant areas of Alberta, as well as parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota. Pembina ranks among Canada's largest operators of oil sands and heavy oil pipelines, and its Oil Sands business unit manages one of the most extensive merchant terminal operations in western Canada. These integrated assets enable us to offer long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
  • Perform and learn from a variety of Electrical/Instrumentation maintenance tasks including repairs, PMs, troubleshooting, and callouts;
  • Inspect and maintain VFDs, Motors, Control Valves, PLCs and other related oilfield equipment to ensure operational reliability;
  • Support predictive and preventative maintenance schedules across stations and sites;
  • Participate in the installation and operation of new product quality initiatives;
  • Assist with commissioning and modifications of new and existing equipment;
  • Use SAP-PMM to track and implement maintenance requirements (training provided if needed);
  • Supervise contractors and collaborate across departments;
  • Maintain your assigned vehicle and ensure all documentation is up to date;
  • Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment;
  • Embrace new technologies and continuously develop your technical skills; and
  • Contribute to an inclusive, respectful, and diverse workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Possess an Interprovincial Electrician or Instrumentation Journeyman ticket;
  • High Voltage experience and PLC programming experience would be considered an asset;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, SAP and other business-related computer programs and applications;
  • Familiar with SAP - PMM maintenance program would be a preference;
  • Strong communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • MUST have Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; and
  • Safety Courses: TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be an asset, but if incomplete, will be provided by Pembina to the successful candidate.

 

 

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.


The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Fort St. John, BC.

 

Pay Transparency Requirement: The base salary range for this position is $133,950.00  CAD to $141,000.00  CAD.  Actual total compensation may differ based on candidate's qualifications and location.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
