Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring for an Analyst, Tax to join the team. This position reports to the Manager within the Tax Department, part of Pembina’s Financial Services division.
The Tax Service Unit contributes to the development of long-term global growth strategies acting as proactive partners who are sought out for our expertise when making business decisions. By effectively identifying, assessing, communicating and managing tax risks and opportunities, the Tax team is a trusted business partner creating and protecting shareholder value in a globally compliant tax framework.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Prepare Canadian federal and provincial income tax returns and other information returns;
- Assist with the preparation of responses to federal and provincial income tax audits;
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax accounting provisions;
- Assist with the maintenance of tracking tax pools and tax basis information; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
- Completion of a Canadian accounting designation (CPA/CA);
- Enrolled in CPA In-Depth Tax and/or willingness to complete the program;
- 2+ years of dedicated experience on working with corporate, partnership, and/or international tax compliance is preferred;
- Experience with income tax return and tax provision preparation for Canadian corporations and partnerships;
- Proficient computer skills, specifically in excel and a working knowledge of SAP and BPC is an asset; and
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure to meet reporting deadlines.
Pembina’s Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Fridays.
