Overview:

 

Pembina Pipeline is actively hiring a Supervisor, Logistics, to join the Conventional and Oil Sands Pipelines Business Unit in our Calgary corporate office. Reporting to the Manager, Logistics and Scheduling, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the LVP (Low Vapor Pressure) Logistics team, managing relationships with upstream and downstream customers, and identifying key growth opportunities for our crude and condensate transportation business. 

Pembina's Conventional and Oil Sands Business Unit includes a strategically positioned network of pipelines and related infrastructure, encompassing various hubs and terminals. This network facilitates the transportation of crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids across significant areas of Alberta, as well as parts of British Columbia. These integrated assets enable us to offer long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.

 

 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

 

  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com/safety;
  • Lead and develop the LVP logistics team, including coaching, training, goal setting, performance management, and vacation coverage planning; 
  • Support and maintain accurate pipeline forecasting models;
  • Collaborate with peer logistics and scheduling teams to drive high asset utilization and customer satisfaction;
  • Provide management reporting on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Review and sign-off shipper balances and invoices;
  • Support Pembina’s strategic growth initiatives to drive incremental business;
  • Support the planning and alignment of outages with upstream and downstream customers, as well as the engineering, operations, and outage teams;
  • Manage ongoing and future projects to ensure they are brought into service safely, on time and on budget;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with downstream counterparties; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
  • 8+ years’ experience in oil and gas scheduling, logistics, business development or commercial roles;
  • Leadership experience, modeling and promoting learning agility by adapting quickly to change, encouraging experimentation, and continuously integrating new insights into team strategies and practices;
  • Intimate commercial knowledge of oil and gas pipeline industries;
  • Advanced understanding of pipeline rules and regulations, and processes and procedures associated with physical commodity movements;
  • Experience negotiating and managing contracts;
  • Collaborative team player with effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and superior analytical skills;
  • Ability to be flexible, maintain composure and find creative solutions when encountering unexpected events; and
  • Proven ability to successfully lead a team in a fast paced, dynamic and deadline driven environment.
