Overview

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Sr Advisor, Pension & Savings t. This posiition reports to the Supervisor, Specialized Services in the Human Resources Service Unit, part of Pembina's Corporate Services Division.  

Responsibilities

Working as part of a team, the primary responsibilities will include providing HR Operations support for our Canadian and US operations. These include but not limited to:

 

  • Administration of Pembina’s Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension and Group Savings plans, including new hire enrollments, changes in dependent/beneficiaries, retirements, terminations, etc.;
  • Responds to participant inquiries, providing a high level of quality customer service in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Responsible for accurate retiree pension records; 
  • Ensures integrity of information in HRIS systems or any external pension/retiree systems;
  • Recommend pension administration process improvements to complete assigned work within expected deadlines;
  • Coordinates and participates in internal and external pension audits as required;
  • Prepares, analyzes and assists with pension reporting as required (quarterly audit committee report); 
  • Allocates pension invoices to the applicable pension plans by analyzing invoices and reports and recording entries; 
  • Ensures employee payroll files are maintained and comply with privacy and audit policies related to pension plan enrollment and change forms; and
  • Act as back-up to the Analyst, Benefits and provide assistance as required;
  • Operationalize the innovative initiatives our Total Rewards People Programs team designs.    
  • Partner with HR Business Advisory to support labour activities. 
  • Collaborate with our HRIS team to ensure our systems and processes are up to date and process are seamless in service of data integrity

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with comprehensive compensation and benefits experience and systems-thinking mindset. Additional qualifications include:

 

  • Post-secondary education preferred, or combined experience with a minimum of 10 years of Pension & Benefits experience;
  • Strong project management skills; 
  • Self-starter & demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast paced environment; and 
  • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
