  • Analyze infrastructure developments, producer behavior, regulatory trends, and regional supply/demand dynamics to anticipate market shifts;
  • Collaborate with Gas, NGL, and Crude teams to align market views with commercial positioning and execution;
  • Support the annual strategy planning cycle, including Board materials, leadership offsites, and long‑range planning inputs;
  • Provide insights to support hedging strategies, cash flow forecasting, and risk management activities;
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to align market views with broader commercial and strategic priorities;
  • Develop forecasting models, scenario analyses, and market outlook tools to support near‑ and medium‑term planning;
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from trading, operations, and finance teams;
  • Support short‑term financial trading analytics and commercial decision support;
  • Provide back‑up coverage to the Financial Trader to support holiday coverage and succession planning;
  • Communicate complex market insights clearly and tailor messaging to different audiences across the organization;
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
  • Support Pembina’s “Zero by Choice” safety culture and Life Saving Rules; and
  • Participate in and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience in energy trading analytics, market fundamentals, or commercial roles within the energy sector, with a demonstrated ability to translate market insight into commercial value;
  • Experience developing short‑term supply/demand and pricing models across commodities, including natural gas, NGLs, and crude oil, with a focus on decision‑support and business impact;
  • Exposure to trading environments, with a solid understanding of hedging strategies, risk management principles, and cash flow forecasting, and the ability to apply these concepts to real‑world commercial outcomes;
