Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Senior Analyst, Cyber Security to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Cyber Security in the Information Services Unit (ISU), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services division.


Summary of Responsibilities 
The Senior Analyst, Cyber Security will be responsible for identifying, preventing, detecting and responding to potential Cyber Security incidents involving Information System (IS) and Operational Technology (OT) assets. The successful candidate will assess Enterprise Cyber Security risks within the Pembina environment and recommend mitigating controls to reduce risks to align with business needs, regulatory requirements and industry recognized practices.  Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Recommend and implement Cyber Security practices and controls for Pembina’s systems, networks, applications and operational technology based on business needs, regulatory requirements and industry practices;
  • Lead and manage external partnerships such as those performing the Security Operation Center, Vulnerability Management Program, Network Security, and Security and Awareness Program functions;
  • Mature Pembina’s Azure security, and governance practices;
  • Support the existing Cyber Security infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted operations;
  • Conduct threat and risk assessments based on industry recognized methodologies;
  • Help position the Cyber Security department as a trusted advisory service for all electronic information, IS and OT security matters;
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure assessment and mitigation of security and compliance risks, are in line with governance, compliance, and security policies;
  • Evolve Pembina’s security awareness program through presentations to both small and large audiences; and
  • Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion & diversity.



  • Degree, Diploma or Technical Certificate in Computer Science or a related discipline;
  • Relevant hands on experience in an information security role;
  • Risk and compliance assessment experience;
  • Security related certifications is considered an asset;
  • Experience with Cloud and Microsoft security are considered very strong assets;
  • Risk and remediation experience with Azure Security Center;
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, network security and communication methodologies;
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems quickly and completely;
  • Strong desire and aptitude for learning new technologies with minimal formal training;
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to end-users and at all levels within the organization;
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and creative thinking skills; and
  • Ability to function within a fast-paced team environment.
