Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporations Calgary Office is recruiting for a Safety Reporting and Programs Analyst to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Safety Reporting and Programs, part of Pembina’s Safety Service Unit.
In this position, you will be engaged in reporting, data analysis, innovation, and continuous improvement efforts within the Occupational Health and Safety Department and as a citizen developer, you will drive meaningful change through data and technology to identify, design, and implement creative solutions using, but not limited to, Office 365 and Power Platform tools, or Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Lead the monthly Safety Scorecard Reporting process with data collection, validation, classification and report creation;
- Develop, manage, and update dashboards and reports in Microsoft PowerBI, with trending and analytical comparisons, data visualizations, and interpretive commentary;
- In collaboration with others, coordinate and prepare various monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external clients and stakeholders and industry benchmarking initiatives, in a timely and accurate manner;
- Lead the data quality assurance process by analyzing various safety datasets, look for opportunities to create AI models to classify and interpret the data and resolve data quality issues;
- Manage the department SharePoint hub, Incident Learning’s Library, various team SharePoint sites and Safety page of Pembina’s Intranet;
- Manage metadata repositories, ensuring that metadata is accurate and up-to-date, and identify areas to improve and automate the process;
- Coordinate Pembina’s Incident Review Panel meetings;
- Develop a high degree of comfort administering key systems; Intelex, Chemscape, Power Apps (Safety Environment), SharePoint, Intranet and LogicManager sites and act as a key contact for internal users and external stakeholders;
- Document business requirements related to system enhancements, create user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts, perform UAT and associated change management;
- Identify opportunities from safety incident data and external incident learnings to relay findings and trends through well written safety communications (Learning from Incidents, Safety Bulletins, Safety Alerts, etc.);
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Business and Service Unit staff;
- Additional duties and administrative support as required;

Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree, or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Computer Science, Information Systems, is preferred;
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional Certification (CRSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician Certification (CRST) or actively working towards;
- 5+ years’ experience in a reporting and analytics capacity, preferably in a Safety department within a midstream company or an oil and gas producer;
- Demonstrated experience in safety statistics, reporting and benchmarking;
- Eagerness to learn and ability to think strategically, recognize and act on opportunities to be proactive and to propose innovative solutions for areas of responsibility in support of risk management;
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, and can translate technical information into outputs that are understandable to all audiences;
- Proficient with Office 365 applications (including Copilot, PowerBI, Power Apps, RPA) and SAP at an intermediate to advanced level;
- Experience with administering cloud-based Incident Reporting and/or Audit and Inspection software (Intelex, Enablon, eCompliance, iAuditor, etc.) is preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to execute work assignments and perform duties with or without direct supervision;
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize;
- Team player who engages and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders;
- Flexible, adaptable, learns quickly and demonstrates self-awareness.
