Pembina is seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer/Specialist to join our Transmission Business Unit (TBU). This role plays a critical part in the lifecycle management of turbomachinery assets across our natural gas pipeline systems, including Gas Generators (GG), Power Turbines (PT), and Gas Compressors (GC).
Pembina's Transmission Pipeline assets have developed through the strategic acquisition of key natural gas, ethane and condensate transportation infrastructure assets, positioned in some of the most prolific gas producing regions in western Canada and the United States. Pembina's Transmission Pipelines provide customers with access to premium markets primarily on a fee-for-service basis under long-term contracts through long-haul pipelines.
We are looking for candidates with deep technical expertise in turbomachinery—particularly with LM2500-series gas generators—but we also welcome individuals with strong mechanical backgrounds who are eager to grow into a subject matter expert role. The preferred location for this role is Calgary; however, it can be based at any location within the TBU asset area (Alberta, Saskatchewan, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa or Illinois).

- Provide SME-level support for auxiliary systems, dry gas seals, mechanical seals, and reliability programs;
- Lead Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) efforts using vibration analysis, oil sampling, and borescope inspections;
- Drive optimization initiatives for safety, fuel efficiency, emissions, and greenhouse gas reduction;
- Support mechanical systems across Cochin, Vantage, and AEGS pipelines, including pumps and seals;
- Assist with vendor coordination and troubleshooting of mechanical issues;
- Contribute to reliability and performance monitoring programs;
- Engage in learning and development opportunities to build turbomachinery expertise;
- Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of turbomachinery experience;
- Engineering degree, technologist diploma, or equivalent industry training;
- Hands-on experience with BHGE LM2500-family engines, Siemens SGT-200, and Solar turbomachiner;
- Background in package design, fabrication, shop assembly, or equipment overhauls;
