Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring for an Intern, Property Tax to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Property Tax in the Tax Service Unit, part of Pembina’s Financial Services division. 

 

The Tax Service Unit contributes to the development of long-term global growth strategies acting as proactive partners who are sought out for our expertise when making business decisions.  By effectively identifying, assessing, communicating and managing tax risks and opportunities, the Tax team is a trusted business partner creating and protecting shareholder value in a globally compliant tax framework.

 

Please note that this is a 4-month Internship and the successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

 

  • Perform role specific responsibilities such as assist with annual payment process, data capture for project reporting, update tax rates and municipal bylaw information, capture all statements into property tax Itamlink software;
  • Support day to day work and learning activities related to the property tax team or function, using tools such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems;
  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
  • Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to accurately collect, assemble, and enter a large volume of data;
  • Must be a quick learner and self-motivator to work under tight deadlines;
  • Currently enrolled in a post secondary program and returning to school in the fall following the end of the work term;
  • Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for;
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule; and
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
