Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring for Intern, PMO & Cybersecurity Awareness to join the team.  This position reports to the Manager, PMO, & Governance in the Information Services Unit, part of Pembina’s Legal, People, and Corporate Affairs division.  

 

Pembina's Information Services Unit manages and maintains the company's infrastructure, provides technical support, ensures data security and accessibility, implements new technology, strategies for future development, manages vendors, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Intern, PMO & Governance will play an active role in supporting and implementing project governance, compliance, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including phishing campaigns and reporting. Also, will leverage AI to automate processes for the team. This role will contribute directly to improving project visibility, compliance reporting, and the organization’s cybersecurity posture. 

 

Please note that this is a 4-month term, and the successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary.  

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

 

  • Perform role‑specific responsibilities such as the preparation of summary reports, including the collection, validation, and synthesis of project data, and development of presentations and briefing materials for leadership and governance forums. This may also include participating in a project and presenting outcomes or learnings at the end of the term; 
  • Support the tracking and updating of reports, annual Risk Assessments, IT compliance activities, and the lifecycle management of governance documents and the Operational Excellence Management System; 
  • Support day‑to‑day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems);  
  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times; 
  • Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and  
  • Contribute to an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace by being gracious, kind, respectful, and working effectively with others.  

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field and returning to school following the end of the work term; 
  • Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for; 
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule; and  
  • Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
