Overview:

 

Pembina's Conventional and Oilsands pipeline assets comprise a strategically located network of pipelines and related infrastructure including various hubs and terminals. This network transports crude oil, condensate and NGL across much of Alberta and parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota.

 

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Specialist, Logistics to join the CBU/OBU Pipeline Business Unit (CBU). Reporting to the Manager, Logistics, the successful candidate will provide expertise and oversight on volume movements across Pembina’s operations influencing both day-to-day and future operations.  
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

 

  • In-depth knowledge of commodity movement and infrastructure;
  • Strategic oversight on day-to-day and future operations;
  • Lead business unit initiatives and strategy as a Logistics SME;
  • Coordinate and mitigate complex outage planning for internal and external customers;
  • Mentor team members on pipeline operations and reporting; 
  • Analyze the pipeline nomination process for accuracy, reasonability and pipeline capacity;
  • Communicate with external customers to ensure appropriate controls and provisions are in place;
  • Provide analysis on volumetric forecasting reports to management;
  • Observe and report trends and pipeline developments on Pembina’s systems;
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with external customers and internal operating and business groups;
  • Achieve in-depth knowledge of rules and regulations, pipeline capacity and committed contracted throughout;

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Finance, Economics or related discipline;
  • Strong knowledge of NGL and/or Crude Oil logistics combined with in-depth knowledge of pipeline operations is required; 
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills;
  • Previous experience with Power BI are considered assets;
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to be pro-active in identifying potential issues and providing solutions; 
  • Organized, detailed, analytical and able to consistently deliver accurate and timely information;
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and proven ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage, negotiate and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels within an organization;
  • Customer-focused, collaborative team player and self-motivated;
  • Energetic, resilient, and goal-oriented; and
  • Able to thrive in a very busy, dynamic and deadline driven environment.
