Overview
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for Supervisor, IS Network to join the team.  This position reports to the Manager, IS Infrastructure & Network in the Information Services Unit (ISU), part of Pembina’s Shared Services Division. 

 

The Supervisor, IS Network is responsible to lead a group of technical analysts and 3rd party managed services to manage the smooth operations of network services Pembina’s site locations and cloud assets.  In addition to a natural enthusiasm for IS, a strong business acumen, the ability to come up with creative suggestions and customer service focus are a must for this role.  

 

Summary of Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Manage a team of technical analysts and managed services to provide reliable network access to Data Center, Field, SaaS and Cloud Services;
  • Maintains primary responsibility for network management, upgrade, and design;
  • Financial management of all network service costs including project, forecast, and budget planning;
  • Empower and guide team members in performance and progression development;
  • Assess team core competencies and provide on-the-job training/development opportunities;
  • Maintains overall system stability and health by using proactive system maintenance techniques;
  • Monitor helpdesk system to ensure tickets and tasks are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner, ensuring that service level objectives are being met;
  • Participates in Infrastructure and Network service roadmap planning; 
  • Manages multiple third-party service providers for field, project, and operational support;
  • Promote a strong working relationship with strategic Vendors to enable efficient delivery of circuits, equipment, and services; and
  • Keeps up to date with emerging trends to evaluate new service capabilities, reducing areas of operational or technical risk.

 

Qualifications

  • Participate in a diverse and Inclusive work environment;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting Enterprise Networking;
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience;
  • Preference given to someone who has working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Network Fundamentals and management;
  • Operated a highly secure network, utilizing logical segmentation and layered security design;
  • Managed or coordinated the deployment of SDWan or SDN technologies;
  • Preference will be given to an individual who has achieved a level of network certification (CCNA, CCIE or other);
  • Minimum of 3 years managing service providers;
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage a constantly changing workload;
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills, including solid presentation skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong teamwork orientation;
  • Energetic, adaptable, and highly personable; and
  • Service Management/ITIL/ServiceNow would be an asset

 

The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary, AB.
