Overview:


Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for an Advisor, Governance to join the team.  This position reports to the Manager, Process & Performance in Supply Chain, part of Pembina’s Commercial Support Services. 


The Advisor, Governance will be primarily responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of Supply Chain governance and assurance framework, and shall possess knowledge of Supply Chain lifecycle management and principles, as well as experience in compliance auditing, monitoring and reporting, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Supply Chain delivers strategic value to the organization by optimizing technology for material acquisition, inventory carrying, transportation, and planning costs.

Supply Chain Governance:

  • Closely collaborate with the Master Data and Analytics team, monitor, and support any changes in Supply Chain processes;
  • Develop non-compliance reporting tools with support from the analytics team;
  • Co-ordinate annual reviews of all Supply Chain policies;
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of key controls within Supply Chain processes, in collaboration with various stakeholders;
  • Montior compliance and adherence to business processes and policies across the supply chain; and
  •  Report non-compliance to responsible groups with required corrective actions.

 

Supply Chain Assurance:

  • Act as the second line of defense within Supply Chain, performing various assurance audits to confirm conformance, identify gaps/risks, and recommend improvement actions;
  • Act as the first point of contact of Supply Chain, coordinating with Internal or External Audit groups to plan, monitor, and report on various engagements that involve Supply Chain;
  • Co-ordinate and manage the audit tracker to ensure corrective actions assigned to Supply Chain are completed on time; and
  • Identify and suggest process and governance improvement ideas to Supply Chain business process leads.

 

Risk Management:

  • Collaborate effectively with various risks management groups within Pembina to develop and maintain an overall Supply Chain risk registry;
  • Proactively identify and address issues and risks, and facilitate their resolution;
  • Monitor, update, and report on the restricted supplier list and the supplier claim log, supporting the management, monitoring, and recovery of claims, back charges, and credits; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, finance, accounting or other related disciplines, or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience with internal audit and/or CA/CMA/CPA certification is not mandatory, but considered a strong asset;
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain lifecycle management process and principles, including but not limited to strategic sourcing, contract management, procure-to-pay, material management, and logistics and supplier management;
  • A critical thinker with attention to detail and strong analytical skills, capable of making data informed decisions and recommendations;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, which are essential for effective collaboration and influencing various stakeholders; and
  • Commitment to continuous improvement with a passion to proactively drive positive change and enhancing process efficiency.
