Overview:


Pembina Pipeline Corporation is currently recruiting for an Advisor, GHG & Air Emissions. Reporting to the Supervisor, GHG & Air Emissions, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the team responsible for the quantification and management of Pembina’s greenhouse gas (GHG) and air emissions. In this role, you will be supporting the development, maintenance and communication of corporate GHG inventories including technical analysis of GHG and air emissions data.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

 

  • Assist with the development of the corporate GHG emissions inventory in accordance with applicable inventory methodologies;
  • Support third-party GHG emissions inventory verification and assurance activities;
  • Support and utilize the company Emissions Data Management solution including maintenance of data quality, data receipt, and data management;
  • Remain current with GHG emissions reporting, GHG quantification trends, and other environmental regulatory requirements;
  • Interface with representatives from multiple business units and service units; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
     

Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience with air emissions and GHG inventory development, compliance reporting, verification, and voluntary reporting;
  • Familiarity with environmental, GHG and air emissions regulatory frameworks for federal and provincial / state jurisdictions and voluntary reporting frameworks;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users;
  • Strong quantitative skills including gathering, processing, and analyzing significant amounts of data;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, conditional formatting, pivot tables, macros/VBA, etc.);
  • Energy industry experience would be considered an asset;
  • Teamwork-focused, demonstrating a high level of collaboration and cooperation as well as independent initiative and motivation;
  • Proven systems thinker with strong analytical, process and problem resolution skills; and
  • Experience with climate-related financial disclosures would be considered an asset.
