Overview

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for an Analyst, Petroleum Quality for a 12-month fixed term position. This position reports to the Supervisor, Petroleum Quality within the Product Quality and Measurement (PQM) department of Pembina’s Corporate Technical Services Unit (TSU). 

On behalf of Pembina’s Business Units (BUs), Technical Services Unit (TSU) provides technical expertise and manages comprehensive management programs, which include asset integrity, construction services, asset management and PQM.  

As a key contributor of the PQM team, the Analyst, Petroleum Quality, will support both LVP and HVP quality management activities.

Responsibilities

The Petroleum Quality Analyst for this 12-month fixed term position as a contributor to the ongoing development of Pembina’s corporate Product Quality and Measurement strategy. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assist senior Analysts with petroleum product quality data reviews and validation processes.
  • Verify compositional data to ensure correct data for accounting activities;
  • Monitor online quality analyzers and lab data for potential off-spec quality;
  • Work closely with logistics teams to complete monthly invoicing from a petroleum quality perspective; 
  • Meet all industry and internal quality deadlines;
  • Respond to clients on quality related enquiries; 
  • Initiate inquiries into quality data issues; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Job Qualifications

  • Diploma, Certificate or Degree related to the Petroleum industry;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within a petroleum quality analytics or petroleum logistics/scheduling position;
  • Candidate must be analytical, self-motivating, detail orientated and have strong computer skills in MS Excel, SharePoint, Word, and Power Apps.
  • Experience with ProTrend would be an asset.
  • Work independently and in team environments with excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet monthly industry deadlines; 
  • Working knowledge of online quality analyzers, gas chromatographs, sampling equipment and measurement devices would be an asset; and
  • Willingness to commit to a 12-month fixed term position.
