Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Manager, Cyber Security Operations & Identity to join our team. This position reports to the Director, Cyber Security & Governance in the Information Services Unit (ISU), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division.

The Manager, Cyber Security Operations & Identity will be accountable for leading teams responsible for identifying, preventing, detecting and responding to potential Cyber Security incidents and threats involving Information System (IS) and Operational Technology (OT) assets. Along with the Cyber Security Operations the Manager will also be responsible for leading the practice of Identity and Access Management ensuring the appropriate access is given and revoked at the appropriate times while maintaining certification process and access methods throughout the organization.  The successful candidate will lead a team of employees, contractors, and services in operating, recommending, implementing and continuously improving technology and processes to mitigate risks to align with business needs, regulatory requirements and industry recognized practices.
 

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Manage internal and external teams to ensure SLA’s, risks, and efficiencies are being met;
  • Proactive Threat Management: 
    • Proactive in identifying potential threats and implementing strategies to mitigate them. This includes staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, and ensuring the team is well-equipped to handle them;
  • Incident Response Leadership: 
    • Effectively manage the situation. This includes coordinating the response efforts, making critical decisions under pressure, and communicating effectively with both the team and stakeholders;
  • Mature the Identity Practice creating alignment and opportunities with internal and external stakeholders such as Information Services Unit, Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Business Applications leads and Owners etc. 
  • Accountable as the Delivery Manager for cyber security operations and Identity-related projects and initiatives;
  • Manage annual and monthly Cyber budget cycles;
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline;
  • 10-15 yrs experience in progressive leadership roles, with at least 5 of those being in Cyber
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, technologies, and best practices;
  • Proven senior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience rolling out enterprise level programs;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, motivate and supervise working teams
  • Security related certifications will be considered an asset;
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations such as a cyber incident response;
  • Proven ability to negotiate and work with vendors and consultants
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and creative thinking skills; and
  • Ability to function within a fast-paced team environment.

 

Pembina’s Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
