Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is actively hiring a Cyber Security Identity Intern to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Cyber Operations / Identity and Access Management in the Information Services Unit as part of Pembina’s Legal, People & Corporate Affairs Division.
Pembina's Information Services Unit manages and maintains the company's infrastructure, provides technical support, ensures data security and accessibility, implements new technology, strategies for future development, manages vendors, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Please note that this is a 4-month term, and the successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary, Alberta.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Assist with cleaning and improving user identity data across systems by identifying and resolving data inconsistencies while working with cybersecurity and IT teams;
- Support automation and process improvement efforts using identity management tools to help streamline user access, onboarding, and offboarding activities;
- Contribute to cybersecurity and compliance initiatives through documentation, reporting, and collaboration with cross functional‑ teams to support best practices in identity and access management;
- Support day‑to‑day work and learning activities related to the team or function, using tools such as (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Office, Copilot/ChatGPT, and other applicable systems);
- Support Pembina’s safety culture of “Zero by Choice” by caring for yourself and others and following Pembina’s Life Saving Rules at all times;
- Demonstrate Pembina’s values by working in a manner that is Safe, Trustworthy, Respectful, Collaborative, and Entrepreneurial, recognizing that how results are achieved matters; and

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and returning to school following the completion of the work term;
- Basic understanding of identity and access management (IAM), cybersecurity concepts, and data or automation tools; experience with scripting or IAM platforms (e.g., SailPoint) is an asset;
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail;
- Field of study aligned with, or providing relevant transferable skills for, the role applied for;
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the term and required schedule; and
- Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a structured environment, aligned with Pembina’s values and safety expectations.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
