Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Crossings Analyst to join the team.  This position reports to the Supervisor, Crossings and One Call part of Pembina’s  Technical Service Unit (TSU).  


On behalf of Pembina’s Business Units, TSU manages a comprehensive integrity management program, which includes Facility Integrity, Pipeline Integrity, Geotechnical, Corrosion Control, Asset Management, Product Quality and Measurement, Geographical Information System, Integrity Project Execution, and Automation Services. TSU provides leading technical expertise that optimizes performance and minimizes operational and project risk.


The ideal candidate establishes professional relationships that foster collaboration with both internal and external parties. These parties include vendors, colleagues within the industry, internal business, and service departments, as well as internal employees. All these skills are essential for the successful management and processing of Third-Party Crossing Applications.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit;

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of pipeline crossing applications;
  • Coordination and management of Pipeline Integrity Crossing reviews, inquiries, surface load calculations, and collaborating to ensure adherence to Pembina standards;
  • Support project execution teams with preparing cost estimates, timelines, and management of project;
  • Ensure adherence to regulation, Pembina standards and industry best practices as it relates to crossings;
  • Perform data analytics for reporting and measure of program effectiveness;
  • Develop and implement improved processes and prepare supporting documentation;
  • Ensure records are maintained and audit readiness;
  • Represent Pembina as member of internal and industry working groups;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, in alignment with Pembina values; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace. 


  • Professional engineering degree or relevant technologist certificate preferred, consideration for Urban Planning, Petroleum Land Administration or Land Analyst certifications; 
  • 10+ years of relevant industry and/or 5+ years of Damage Prevention experience;
  • Awareness of Canadian and US Damage Prevention Regulations, Industry Codes and best practices;
  • Knowledge of one call, pipeline crossing processes and regulations;
  • Experience in surface loading calculations and technical crossing analysis;
  • Proficient in reading/reviewing survey plans and engineering construction drawings;
  • Strong understanding of Land and Property Rights;
  • Self-motivated, adaptable team player with a strong work ethic;
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment;
  • Solid communication skills with proven abilities engaging stakeholders to achieve desired results;
  • Proven ability to instigate and manage change, exhibit innovation, strategically solve problems, and prioritize essential tasks;
  • Proficient in MS 365 applications, GIS viewer and PowerBI; and 
  • Knowledge of industry networks and associations (Common Ground Alliance, etc.) is preferred.
