Overview
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for an Engineer or Senior Engineer, Integrity Compliance and Assurance to join the team. This position reports to the Supervisor, Integrity and Risk Assurance in the in the Technical Services Unit (TSU), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division.
The Engineer, Integrity Compliance and Assurance will be responsible for the development and coordination of key elements of the Pipeline Integrity Management Program including auditing, quality assurance activities, program development, and integrity assessments.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare for and coordinate the company through external audits (PHMSA, CER, AER, OGC) in the area of Asset Integrity;
- Develop corrective action plans from audits, track and complete audit action items;
- Participate in internal corporate operational asset area audits as a member of the audit team as a subject matter expert for Integrity;
- Prepare for and coordinate internal Asset Integrity Program audits;
- Develop, track and complete internal audit action items from program audits;
- Develop an internal auditing program for Pipeline Integrity and execute for operational area assets;
- Track and report quality assurance activities for Integrity;
- Complete annual regulatory reporting (including PHMSA and CER);
- Complete annual or one-off integrity assessments and coordinate with Operations and Integrity groups;
- Make updates to Integrity Program Manuals and Standards as required;
- Complete HCA and Class Location assessments; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Job Qualifications
- Intermediate Engineer or Technologist, Post-Secondary degree/certificate and/or equivalent;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pipeline industry;
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian and US provincial/state and federal regulations related to integrity;
- Strong knowledge and experience in developing Asset Integrity Management Programs;
- Auditing experience;
- Self-motivated, independent, team player with a strong work ethic and initiative;
- Proven ability to initiate and manage change, be innovative, problem solve, think strategically, and prioritize key tasks;
- Superior communication skills with proven abilities engaging stakeholders to achieve results;
- Proficient in MS Office applications and GIS viewer;
- Strong project management skills; and
- Experience working with Regulators is strongly preferred.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary, AB.
