Pembina Pipeline is seeking an ambitious and hard-working Analyst, Cloud Infrastructure to join our Calgary corporate office's Information Services Unit (ISU). Reporting to the supervisor, IS Infrastructure, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to deliver on work and project tasks, respond to infrastructure-related issues, and deliver routine tasks. 


The Analyst, Cloud Infrastructure is accountable for the support and operation of Pembina’s Cloud and Data Center infrastructure services. They will participate in the design, planning, maintenance, integrity, and availability work related to the infrastructure data and systems at Pembina. A natural enthusiasm for technology and the ability to develop creative, customer-focused solutions are a must for this role.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support Pembina’s Cloud adoption strategy;
  • Build, and mature automation framework for all operational activities in the on-premises and cloud environments;
  • Ensure availability and recoverability of Pembina’s IS infrastructure and cloud workloads;
  • Continuous monitoring, maintenance, and management of all cloud infrastructure components;
  • Troubleshoot issues with peers and third-party vendors to resolve cloud infrastructure problems;
  • Assist the Service Desk team with tier 2 and 3 escalations related to cloud infrastructure;
  • Enable business efficiency through the adoption of cloud technologies and solutions;
  • Implement and support IS infrastructure initiatives, including process and efficiency improvements;
  • Support disaster recovery technologies to protect Pembina’s Information Systems;
  • Prepare written policies, procedures, and technical documents when applicable;
  • Provide timely updates on projects’ status including issues, deliverables, and timelines;
  • Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to meet the strategic needs of the company;
  • Liaise with numerous departments, members, and functional roles;
  • Promote strong working relationships with strategic Vendors and Managed Service Partners to enable efficient delivery of cloud services;
  • Understand trends and challenges in his/her area of expertise; 
  • Follow ITIL best practice approaches, Pembina-defined policies, standards, and procedures;
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace; and
  • On-Call rotation required.

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of an Information Systems degree or diploma program (or a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered);
  • Progressive experience as an Infrastructure Analyst working with cloud technologies and systems;
  • Hands-on experience in the following areas:
    • Azure, Azure Data platforms, PowerShell, and Bicep;
    • Administration of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory;
    • Administration of Microsoft Windows Server 2012-2022 and Linux environments;
    • Administration of Microsoft O365(Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams);
    • Implementing and deploying Data Center and Cloud (Azure) components and systems; and 
    • Management of Azure PaaS and SaaS offerings.
  • Azure DevOps knowledge is considered an asset. and 
  • IT infrastructure management automation techniques and/or platforms are considered an asset.
