Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporations Calgary’s office is actively hiring for a Senior Analyst or Analyst, to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, Strategy & Financial Evaluation in the Pembina Gas Infrastructure (PGI) Business Planning and Economics team.
PGI is one of North Americas largest private gas gathering and processing businesses with over 5 bcf/d of gas processing infrastructure, PGI is focused on delivering customer focused, sustainable midstream solutions throughout Western Canada. Our Owners, Pembina and KKR (ownership transitioning to Apollo) are committed to PGI’s growth and establishment as one of the premier midstream organizations in Canada. PGI has a dedicated management team, with key support services being provided through Pembina.
This role involves working directly with key members from all areas of the organization to ensure accurate and fulsome financial reporting and project analysis for PGI’s management and owners. The work is highly cross-functional, detailed, and complex.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess project and acquisition economics, including perform scenario and sensitivity analysis in alignment with corporate standards;
- Maintain a portfolio view of existing assets/cash flow and evaluate both economic impact and strategic fit of new commercial opportunities to enhance our existing business;
- Actively participate in the development and preparation of internal approval documents including PowerPoint presentations and business cases;
- Conduct financial and process look-backs on business initiatives, including project developments, facility expansions, and acquisition and divestiture activities;
- Develop proficiency in PGI’s monthly forecast process while supporting ad hoc analysis as required;
- Support business planning activities, including the annual budget and the development and maintenance of PGI’s long-range plan; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Completion of a CFA, CBV and/or CPA designation would be considered an asset;
- Minimum 3-6 years experience and proven ability in developing complex financial models, valuation, and providing economic analysis;
- Investment banking, strategic and corporate planning, business development, corporate finance or equity research experience would be considered a strong asset;.
- Strong understanding of the energy industry is considered a significant asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint is required;
- Experience with SAP, BPC, AO, and/or AccuMap would be considered an asset; and
- Must be a highly analytical, be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and have a demonstrated ability to establish strong internal and external relationships.
