Overview:

Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary office is recruiting for a Supervisor, Building Services, to join the team.  This position reports to the Director, IS Infrastructure, End User Services & Building Services in the Information Services Unit, (ISU), part of Pembina’s Corporate Services Division (CSD).

Pembina’s Building Services team is a trusted partner dedicated to creating value by providing safe, healthy, and efficient workspaces. We focus on cost-effective maintenance and management of Pembina’s offices while delivering tailored real estate solutions to meet organizational needs. Supporting Pembina’s growth, we facilitate the acquisition, leasing, and construction of additional workspaces as required. We are seeking a professional, highly motivated individual with a customer service focus on supervising and lead our building service team. The successful candidate will take on a key role in leading space optimization, facility management, and collaborate on construction projects while working with stakeholders to create safe, functional, and sustainable environments. The candidate will need to be comfortable leading 4-5 staff, multiple managed services, contractors, and having accountability for established budgets.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

•  Collaborate with stakeholders and internal team to design and implement innovative space strategies;
•  Lead and monitor facility-related projects to maximize efficiency and functionality corporate and field sites;
•  Build and manage relationships with internal clients and external vendors, contractors, and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and ensure services are delivered on time, monitor KPIs and ensure budget is adhered to;
•  Develop, manage, and maintain budgets to ensure financial targets are met;
•  Work with business stakeholders to define and propose renovation and construction projects, and lead the team that executes and delivers them;
•  Stay updated on trends and best practices in facility management and sustainability;
•  Ability to travel to various field offices outside of Calgary from time to time;
•  Demonstrate learning agility by adapting to new building technologies, maintenance protocols, and regulatory standards; proactively seek out opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and lead by example in embracing change;

Qualifications:

•  5-10+ years of proven experience in facility management and building services, with expertise in customer service, relationship building, and creative problem solving;
•  Strong project operations skills, with a commitment to completing projects on time and within budget while successfully managing vendor relationships and contracts;
•  Excellent communication and leadership skills;
•  Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to evolving building systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements, applying new knowledge to enhance facility operations and team performance;
•  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and priorities; and
•  Professional certification in Facility Management or a related field is an asset.

 

The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
