Overview:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Calgary’s office is actively hiring for an Assurance Advisor to join the team. This position reports to the Manager, OEMS & Assurance within the Safety Department of Pembina’s Operations division.
The OEMS & Assurance team sits within the Safety Department, alongside Occupational Safety, Process Safety, Emergency Management, and Corporate Security, working together to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the business.
The Assurance Advisor supports the delivery of Pembina’s Assurance Program and plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and documentation of assurance activities and audits. This role is well‑suited to a developing assurance professional seeking to build experience in management systems, gain broad business exposure, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and technical teams. It provides a strong foundation for someone interested in growing their career within operations, assurance, or technical excellence, while contributing to meaningful, enterprise‑wide improvements.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km of Calgary
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

- Support the execution of assurance audits as an auditor, working under the direction of the Assurance Specialist;
- Assist in the development, documentation, and management of audit and assurance plans, schedules, and supporting materials;
- Coordinate and manage audit logistics, including arranging site visits, meetings, and interviews with internal and external stakeholders;
- Track audit activities, milestones, and deliverables to ensure assurance work remains on schedule and aligned with the approved plan;
- Support the collection, review, and organization of audit evidence to ensure it is complete, accurate, and well documented;
- Document audit observations, findings, and corrective actions clearly and consistently in accordance with assurance processes and tools;
- Assist with tracking and follow‑up of corrective actions to support timely closure and effective risk mitigation;
- Maintain organized assurance records and documentation to support governance, reporting, and continuous improvement;
- Collaborate effectively with operations, technical teams, and assurance stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle;
- Demonstrate learning agility by actively seeking feedback, adapting to new information quickly, and applying learnings to improve performance and deliver results in a dynamic environment; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 to 9 years of experience in an assurance, audit, or compliance role, with exposure to the oil & gas or energy industry;
- Foundational understanding of assurance principles, audit processes, and management systems;
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and record‑management skills;
- Highly organized with demonstrated project‑management and coordination capability, including managing multiple tasks and timelines;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support clear documentation and stakeholder coordination;
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, process‑driven environment while adapting to changing priorities;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other tools used for planning, tracking, and documenting assurance activities;
- Professional, collaborative, and eager to learn, with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement; and
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, or processes and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment.
