Overview

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking an Advisor, Asset Management Systems to support the continued advancement and maturation of their Procedure Management system (Procedure Accelerator) and associated procedure library to ensure it delivers value and advantage to Pembina.  The operating procedure knowledge base must support:

  • Relevant, specific and easily accessible operating procedures; 
  • Pembina’s regulatory, financial & risk drivers through the regular use of these operating procedures; and 
  • Continuous improvement that evolves in line with the business’s needs and increasing level of operating history.
     

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the delivery of initiatives that advance the systems governance and operationalization; 
  • Steer the use of Procedure Accelerator through additional corporate initiatives to which the system will form part of the solution;
  • Facilitate the definition of Pembina’s best practices and execute on governance expectations around operations and maintenance procedures; and
  • Drive continuous improvement on how the system and procedures are utilized within Pembina to maximize operational value.

 

Sustainment Activities:

  • Onboarding – Support Training, Mentoring and Qualification activities;
  • Support User Management activities in collaboration with Information Services to update user permissions of competent users (writers, reviewers, approvers, and District Representatives);
  • Quality – Drive and lead Quality assurance and control of procedures in collaboration with Operations by periodically auditing procedures, Procedure Accelerator Homepage and maintain and update Procedure Style Guide to ensure it aligns to the Standard for Operations and Maintenance Procedures;
  • Reporting – Measure and mature progress reports and sustainment metrics to reflect district engagement and proper use of the system;
  • Configuration – Configure system for operations to reflect Pembina’s structure and best practices and ensure master data is accurate and consistent;
  • Collaborate with Information Services to ensure system updates are fully functional before released to the company, and defects and tickets are close and addressed in a timely manner;
  • Writer & District Representative Communities of Practice - Provide an Asset Management team presence and steer; and
  • Ad Hoc support – For users developing consistent procedures across all operational districts. 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Gain knowledge of additional systems and tools utilized by the Ops Systems Implementation & Sustainment team;
  • Support team with sustainment of SAP Plant Maintenance reporting and operating systems as required; and
  • Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

Job Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Management/Administration, Engineering, Information Management, Science or Power Engineers or Journeyman technologists /technicians with strong operating experience.   
  • 5+ years oil and gas experience; working in Management Systems, regulatory and/or operational compliance related areas;
  • Demonstrated project management and change management skills and comprehension of the principles and methodologies;
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills, with an ability to converge diverse groups & priorities; and
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude - no work task is above or beneath you, you do what it takes to get it done.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Skilled at enrolling and driving results across multidisciplinary, departmental, and business boundaries without positional or hierarchical authority;
  • Facilitation and active listening skills, ability to influence others and create alignment toward a common vision or goal;
  • Highly skilled in Knowledge Management Systems both use and architecture;
  • Good interpretation, qualitative and quantitative analysis skills with an ability to simplify and concisely convey core messages;
  • Decision-making skills, with a willingness in consultation to take measured risks for the benefit and success of projects;
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations - flexible, adaptable, learns quickly and demonstrates courage and perseverance;
  • Ability to meet competing, challenging, and changing priorities in a short time period, while demonstrating accountability and commitment;
  • Strong time management and project management skills;
  • Ability to create and maintain a high level of energy and sense of urgency around delivery;

  • Exhibits self-awareness and can flex styles to meet situational and client needs;
  • Proven ability to receive, internalize and enact feedback;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio; and
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Project and SAP would be preferred. 


Preferred work location is Calgary but open to applicants within 50Km of Pembina district locations within BC and Alberta.
