Pembina Pipeline is currently recruiting a Supervisor, SCADA Systems to join the Information Services Unit (ISU) in our Sherwood Park office. Reporting to the Manager, SCADA and Leak Detection, the Supervisor will be accountable for the maintenance, upgrades, periodic replacement, and security of Pembina’s OT Infrastructure.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and mentor a team of SCADA professionals;
  • Maintain proper maintenance and support of OT Infrastructure (Servers, Workstations, Networking equipment) to ensure safe pipeline operation and control and to ensure the safety of the public, the environment, our employees, and our infrastructure;
  • Responsible for OT Infrastructure procedure development, enforcement, revision, and updates;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (documentation complete and correct, processes compliant and followed, etc.);
  • Investigate and recommend new technology for OT, that provides financial or operational/safety benefits for Pembina;
  • Collaborate with Pembina’s SCADA Projects, Applications & Leak Detection groups, Field Communications team, control center staff, engineering groups, product quality & measurement, automation, and field operations personnel; and
  • Enable, champion, and embrace an inclusive and diverse workplace. 


  • Demonstrable experience involving progressively more challenging responsibilities in SCADA, Leak Detection, and associated infrastructure and technologies;
  • Strong technical understanding of SCADA and Leak Detection concepts, as well as Microsoft Windows OS, server and workstation hardware, networking concepts and equipment, and PLC automation, telemetry, and communications;
  • Commitment to expanding knowledge and experience in OT Infrastructure and leadership development;
  • Inspire your team to do their best work every day and rally around a common vision for the future;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective interactions with all levels of stakeholders; and
  • Flexibility to provide after-hours support work will be necessary, given that our pipelines are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
