Overview

Pembina U.S. Corporation is recruiting for an Operator to be based at the Aux Sable NGL Extraction and Fractionation Facility located in Morris (Channahon), Illinois. In the U.S., Aux Sable is jointly owned by Enbridge, Pembina, and Williams Partners. Aux Sable facilities are operated by Pembina.  This position is part of the Operations Department and reports to the Shift Foreman in the Natural Gas Liquids Business Unit (NBU), part of Pembina’s Facilities Business Division.  
 
Reporting to the Shift Foreman, the successful candidate will be responsible for achieving safe operations of the facility.  This includes maintaining continuous (24/7) operations of the NGL gas processing and pipeline distribution systems, mole sieve dehydration, cryogenic section, liquid hydrocarbon treating facilities, fractionation, propane refrigeration, and compression facilities. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Effective operation of equipment in the Plant; following all procedures and writing procedures as required for related plant operations;
  • Ensure smooth Plant operations including, monitoring, adjusting, setting, evaluating, troubleshooting and checking mechanical equipment and instrumentation/electrical controls;
  • Facilitate effective Plant maintenance including, recording operation and maintenance actions taken during shift in the operation electronic logbook, writing appropriate work requests and performing minor maintenance;
  • Perform required operational functions such as:
    • Water treatment sampling and testing, chemical, waste, and hydrocarbon truck loading and unloading;
    • Inventory and de-inventory of Merox vessels;
    • Prepare vessels, pumps, instrumentation and various equipment for maintenance; and
    • Shift safety checks, housekeeping and collection of daily samples.
  • Ensure compliance with all associated regulations and procedures:
    • PSM – Participate in PHA, PSSR, and update P&IDs and procedures as needed;
    • ERP and SH&E – Attend all required safety and environmental training; and
    • Assist with the LDAR program by ensuring no open-ended piping and fixing leaks when appropriate.
  • Handle, package and label hazardous, non-hazardous, special, and universal waste material in compliance with regulations; and
  • Contribute to a team environment that values inclusion & diversity. 

Job Qualifications

  • Related technical training and/or experience in oil or gas processing;
  • High School diploma and valid Driver’s license required; and 
  • A demonstrated understanding and high regard for personal safety and the safety of others.
